The Walden University Minnesota Collection recognizes Walden University’s cultural moorings in the State of Minnesota, where in 1982, the university made Minneapolis its new academic home. The Collection features Walden University academic research pertaining to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and surrounding areas within the state of Minnesota.
In January 2024, Dr. Lisa Pertillar-Brevard, Lead Fellow and Director of the Walden University Center for Social Change, proposed and compiled the initial collection, with support from Mackenzie Salisbury, Walden University Digital Repository Librarian, and Michelle Hajder, Associate Dean of Academic Success, Walden University Library. The design of the Collection, which self-populates with Walden University academic research pertaining to the State of Minnesota, exemplifies sustainable positive social change.
