Title
A Study of Job Elements for Workers in Identified Industries
Session Type
Paper Presentation
Abstract
There is a need to study the knowledge, skills and attributes or job elements that are critical for the success of technology and energy related industries. This causal-comparative study examined job elements that are important in technology and energy as well as the difficulty in hiring individuals with these job elements. The findings of this study indicate that although the two sectors are different, the job elements that were identified as being important were similar. Conversely the job elements that were difficult to find in workers were not similar between the two industries. (24 minutes)
Supported by a Walden University Faculty Research Initiative Grant.
