Aim and Scope
JSWGC is a scholarly peer reviewed journal designed to promote research in the practice of social work that has international and/or local significance with a focus on social change. JSWGC provides high level research, literature and book reviews and thought pieces related to the field of social work and social change.
Mission and Vision
- Promote research in the practice of social work that has international and/or local significance with a focus on social change.
- Provide a forum to publish high quality research, literature and book reviews, and thought pieces focused on issues with an international and/or local issues in social work and other social sciences.
- Disseminate knowledge in a timely manner to anyone through a free global open-access online system.
- Publish rigorous, meaningful, and applicable works addressing the intersectionality of global systems with issues pertaining to contemporary social justice, equality, and social change.
The Rationale
JSWGC fills the gap in the social work field by providing a forum where interdisciplinary research can reach a global audience. JSWGC has a secondary mission of social change and recognizes this as an inherent value in social work throughout the world. The journal is open to social work practice and research both domestically and abroad.
Content
Social work research on practice interventions (individual, group, family, organization and community); literature reviews; case studies; book reviews; policy and thought pieces related to the field of social work both domestically and internationally and social change.
