Abstract
COVID-19 has spawned a new era of community safe distancing norms. With the onset of the pandemic, several US human resources (HR) departments in private and public enterprises have transitioned employees to work remotely. The aim of this qualitative, case study was to explore the employee-safe distancing strategies by HR to remain sustainable amidst the pandemic. The study involved interviews of 5 HR managers in South Carolina, who demonstrated adaptation in facilitating employees working remotely. The knowledge from this study may contribute to positive social change on adaptability and business sustainability while safeguarding employees and the community at large. (24 minutes)
