Abstract

The article discusses a study conducted to assess college students' perceptions of smoke-free campus policies and provides suggestions for advocacy, recruitment, health education and policy development. It has been stated that results of the study indicate that nonsmokers and non-Caucasian students are more likely to socialize in smoke-free environments. The study also found that nonsmokers and female students are not in favor of allowing smoking in dormitories.
