Abstract
In America’s brick-and-mortar classrooms, a simple yet profound merger is taking place between virtual-school technology and the traditional classroom. Even though many students still attend traditional physical schools, an increasing number of students exist who will take some type of online course during the course of their college careers. The goal of this workshop is to discuss the need for the integration of emerging technologies to enhance student experience as part of the Boyer Model of Scholarship. This addresses the use of blogs, videos, Vlogs, social media platforms, and animation as part of virtual classroom technology.
