Abstract
A pregnant woman’s ability to understand information on prenatal care is crucial. Millennials are accustomed to instant availability of information via the internet, but health literacy levels affect their ability to understand and apply this information to health needs. A significant portion of the population has low health literacy skills. Childbirth health care professionals must be aware of patients’ health literacy levels and utilize appropriate teaching strategies to ensure health information is understood in order to maximize its benefits.
