Abstract
Entrepreneurs in Lebanon encounter financial, regulatory, and logistical barriers that limit their access to international markets. These challenges are particularly concerning to entrepreneurs because restricted international market access impedes business growth, entrepreneurial success, and national economic development—factors essential for sustainable economic progress in Lebanon. Grounded in the resource-based view, the purpose of this qualitative pragmatic inquiry was to explore effective strategies that entrepreneurs in Lebanon use to address the barriers to growth caused by restricted access to international markets. The participants were seven entrepreneurs in Lebanon who successfully entered international markets. Data were collected using semistructured interviews and a review of publicly available industry documents. Through thematic analysis, three themes were identified: (a) networking with the Lebanese diaspora and industry association, (b) partnerships with local legal experts and business leaders, and (c) extensive research and employee training. A key recommendation is for entrepreneurs in Lebanon to identify key players in the target market and form strategic partnerships. The implications of positive social change include the potential to improve entrepreneurs' access to international markets by strengthening Lebanon’s economy through enhanced business collaborations. Additionally, it promotes financial stability within communities by equipping entrepreneurs with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.
