Abstract
Catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) are the most frequent but preventable infections that patients may acquire in healthcare, also known as HAI or nosocomial. A CAUTI bundle is a set of evidence-based practices (EBPs) that, when implemented together, can significantly reduce the occurrence of CAUTIs in any healthcare setting. The practice problem in a long-term care facility was the staff knowledge deficit on the CAUTI bundle. This is a staff education project. The pre- and post-survey results showed an increase in knowledge of the CAUTI bundle, from 56% in the pretest to 97 % in the posttest.
